At this year’s Publishing Expo, held at London’s Olympia, Express KCS announce the launch of Core Competence Publishing, an initiative to help publishers reduce costs by outsourcing non-core operations. Express KCS’ clients in the UK, Europe and USA include major publishing groups as well as small publishing stables. All have found that the outsourcing of routine yet critical tasks such as copy chasing, page layout, copy editing and production management have led not only to a reduction in costs, but also an increase in overall quality.
“Our clients have reported that the benefits of a more structured and process-driven approach to the production process has led to more satisfied advertisers and better deadline adherence” says Dick Jones, Sales Director of Express KCS’ UK operation. “Our Indian staff have impressed publishers with their diligence and dedication, sometimes exceeding the publishers’ own previous experiences.”
“London Property News is definitely a Core Competence Publisher” says Alastair Moxey, Publisher of PropertyFinder Publishing. “Outsourcing sales support and editorial production to Express KCS has been a key part of enabling us to remain profitable in this tough market. We sell the space and run the editorial direction, while our dedicated team in India provide outstanding customer services and manage the whole production process.
Express KCS aren’t new to working with publishers. Dick Jones adds “thirty years of experience as India’s leading premedia company has been the necessary training to work with some of the world’s largest publishers. Four of the US’ top five newspaper publishers rely on our services, as do UK-based firms such as National Magazines and News International subsidiary PropertyFinder Publishing.”
