JPIMedia is one of the largest national, regional and local multimedia organisations in the UK. They provide news and information services to their audiences through a strong portfolio of publications and websites.

The Challenge

JPIMedia is one of the largest local media groups in the UK with an audience spread across eight regions, having the largest exposure of any regional publisher in the UK. Their continuous endeavor has been to empower their customers by creating data-driven ad campaigns along with a multitude of sophisticated creatives.

In the past years, the decline in print, and the rising competition in digital advertising space pressed JPIMedia to advance its product offerings across print, digital and video. Their biggest challenge was to find a solution that would not just help drive better engagement and returns for their advertisers, however, to also achieve efficient ways to manage massive workloads, shorten admin times and improve ROI for the company.

Express KCS’s Solution 

When first partnered with Express KCS in 2012, JPIMedia's immediate challenge was to gain cost efficiency in ad production across its portfolio of print and digital publications. They outsourced their tier-1 and tier-2 ad production work across print and digital media to Express KCS. Later, they also outsourced high end creative ad production and other marketing production work.

  • As part of the solution, JPIMedia started using MediaFerry, an award-winning, cloud-based workflow management solution, developed and maintained by Express KCS. The system lets JPIMedia order, track, proof, approve and effectively manage their projects and creative assets.

  • Being one of the first adopters of the system, JPIMedia integrated MediaFerry with their existing billing systems, ad servers and CRM systems including Google DFP, SalesForce etc. By doing so, they were able to automate parts of their digital ad trafficking, tracking and campaign performance reporting.

  • MediaFerry’s SmartDesign, SmartCorrect and SmartQuote features helped JPIMedia save time and effort by automating redundant tasks and reduce admin time for their teams.
